Rivet
Rivet vs. Sameday AI

Sameday's pricing, and the math for a two-truck shop

Sameday is a trades-native AI receptionist that publishes its entry prices. Here is what those numbers buy, what the page leaves out, and who each product is actually for — with the arithmetic shown and every figure dated.

What does Sameday AI cost?

As published on sameday.ai/pricing on 2026-08-26: Launch “starts at” $449 per month for 500 minutes, unlimited users and 3 locations; Scale “starts at” $789 per month for 1,000 minutes, unlimited locations and voice cloning; Enterprise is custom. The page discloses no overage rate, no setup fee and no contract term. “Starts at” is their wording, so treat each number as a floor.

Two things about the source before the arithmetic. First, the company moved from gosameday.com to sameday.ai — the old address redirects, and older third-party write-ups still cite it. Second, the plan card carries no overage price. For a metered product that is the number that decides your busiest month, and its absence is itself information: expect it to come up on the sales call. Our own rule is the same on every page — we print only what a provider publishes, with the date we read it, and if their page has changed since 2026-08-26 their page wins.

What does $449 for 500 minutes work out to for a small shop?

$449 ÷ 500 = about $0.90 a minute, shown by division. If your calls average four minutes, 500 minutes is roughly 125 answered calls a month — about 29 a week. A one- or two-truck shop that misses five calls a week is nowhere near that ceiling, which is the point: the entry tier is priced for a call volume most 1–5 person shops don't have, and the unused minutes don't roll into anything.

Put beside the rest of the category's published entry prices, read on 2026-08-05 for our reference table: Rosie publishes $49 for 250 minutes (about $0.20 a minute), and Smith.ai's AI line publishes a free 25-call tier. Sameday's entry price is roughly nine times Rosie's, and the spread inside the AI category is wider than the spread between AI and human services. That is not a verdict on quality — it is a statement about who each product is priced for. Sameday says “nearly 2,000 service businesses” use it and names ServiceTitan, Housecall Pro, FieldRoutes, AccuLynx, JobNimbus, MaidCentral and Service Fusion as integrations; Jobber is not on that list as of 2026-08-26. Those are the tools of shops with dispatchers, and 500 minutes is a dispatcher's month, not an owner-operator's.

What is the actual difference between Rivet and Sameday?

What happens after the call is answered. Sameday answers as your business and books the job into your field-service platform — that is the product, and it claims a 92% booking rate. Rivet answers, books the job, and then keeps going: it drafts the quote, the invoice and the follow-up text as typed proposals you approve, with QuickBooks as the system of record. One is a phone layer for a platform you run; the other is the back office for a shop that doesn't want to run one.

Rivet's loop is voice-first and approval-gated: you speak, Rivet turns it into a typed proposal, you tap approve, and only then does anything send. A second supervisor AI checks every proposal before you see it, everything lands in an audit trail, and one tap undoes a mistake — the model is laid out on our security page. Sameday's site describes its own human-and-AI approval workflow; check their site for how that works today. The example below is a product demonstration, not a customer story.

How do Rivet and Sameday compare on shape?

Sameday is built for multi-truck home-services companies already running a field-service platform, priced from $449 a month for 500 minutes, integrated with ServiceTitan-class tools. Rivet is built for the 1–5 person shop with no office staff, priced as one flat monthly rate with no minute meter, with QuickBooks as the ledger and the phone, quotes and invoices handled by voice and approval.

Who should pick Sameday instead of Rivet?

Pick Sameday if you run several trucks on ServiceTitan, Housecall Pro or a similar platform, you already have someone dispatching, and your phone volume can actually use 500 minutes a month. That is the shop it is priced and integrated for, and a phone layer that books straight into the platform you already operate is the natural fit. Rivet isn't built for that shape — it's built for the shop where there is no platform and no dispatcher.

The honest test is the same one we apply on every comparison page: is there someone whose job is the phone? If yes, a product that makes that person's platform answer itself is the better fit, and Sameday is aimed squarely there. If the person answering the phone is also the person on the roof, and what you want is the call answered and the paperwork drafted without operating a suite at all, that is the shop Rivet was built for. We have written the same treatment for Avoca, Rosie, human answering services and Jobber, each including when the other choice is the better one — and the category's full published-price table, dated, is at what answering services actually publish as their prices.

Common questions

How much does Sameday AI cost per month?

As read on sameday.ai/pricing on 2026-08-26: Launch “starts at” $449 per month for 500 minutes, unlimited users and 3 locations; Scale “starts at” $789 per month for 1,000 minutes with unlimited locations and voice cloning; Enterprise is custom. The page publishes no overage rate, setup fee or contract length.

What is Sameday's overage rate?

Sameday's pricing page does not publish one as of the read date. For a metered product the overage rate decides what your busiest month costs, so ask for it in writing before signing — and if their page adds it, their page wins over this one.

Is Rivet cheaper than Sameday?

We can't put a number beside theirs, because Rivet doesn't publish its price — it is one flat monthly rate for the shop, no minute meter, no per-truck fees, told on a short call. What we can say is the shape: Sameday's published entry tier is priced for a dispatcher's call volume; Rivet is priced for a one-truck budget. Get both quotes for your own call volume.

Does Sameday work with Jobber?

Jobber was not among the integrations named on sameday.ai on 2026-08-26 (ServiceTitan, Housecall Pro, FieldRoutes, AccuLynx, JobNimbus, MaidCentral and Service Fusion were). Integrations change; confirm on their site. If you run Jobber, its own $29-a-month AI Receptionist add-on is the path of least resistance — we cover it in the Jobber AI Receptionist post.

Does Sameday serve painting contractors?

Not as a named industry as of the read date — HVAC, plumbing, electrician, roofing, solar, pest control, garage door, locksmith, landscaping and cleaning are listed; painting is not. Rivet's painting support is in early access, described honestly on the painting page.

Priced for one truck, not a dispatch floor

Early access. Try Rivet on your own phone line in minutes — one flat monthly price, and nothing ever sends without your yes.
